Video Game : Slender - The Eight Pages

So here is something that is totally perfect for Halloween full of spooky and scary fun!  

The game is called "Slender - The Eight Pages" and its pretty freaky to play.  It's a single player game and the idea is that you are investigating the myth of the slender man and you've tracked him down and are collecting evidence to prove his existence via 8 notes/scribblings that you find in the game, the bad news is that slender man is always watching! 

As you progress the music gets more dire and things get more intense, and then you find your second note/clue! BOOM! He's behind you! RUN! Don't LOOK BAAAAC!!!  *ssssshhhhhh......* 

To get the most bang for your buck (um its free!) definitely play with the sound up, and all the lights off in your house and see how far you can get before the slender man gets you!!!

DayZ Screen Caps Are Goregeous! Alpha To Be Released In December! WOOT!

Over on the DayZ Dev Tumblr Account they posted up some awesome looking screen caps of the good ole "log cabin house", and some of the other structures from the stand alone of the DayZ Game.  One is the good ole log cabin, the other is the two room house with the hall down the middle.  Check'em all out below:

WarZ TOS Is just A Copy And Paste From League of Legends TOS!

So the folks over on this subreddit found out that the TOS is a copy/paste from the league of legends TOS.  Hehe.  Where is picard with his trademark face palm now?!  Oh right here! ;)

Minecraft - New Mob Endermen , Similar to DoctorWho Weeping Angles

This implantation of of a new Monster Mob for the adventure update is downright creepy! According to Notch that is, actually I'd have to agree!  The mechanics of this new mob are very similar to the how the Doctor Who Weeping Angles work in the original episode "Blink" you can watch a portion here:





According to notch's tumbler post and twitter feed the new mobs are called "Endermen" and are a tribute to the myth of the Slender Man but I myself and others have also noted a similarity to the Weaping Angles, especially in how they attack once provoked(e.g. putting the reticule over them):

The Endermen are peaceful. If you look straight at them, they freeze and look at you. When you look away again, they run fast. And teleport.  - Notch

...and kill your butt, which is the weaping angles bit.  The slender man tentacle and slow moving is creepy enough not to mention while there in peaceful mode they are move blocks for some unknown reason yet to be discovered. Are they building something? Collecting them for some evil purpose? Looking for something? Will they deconstruct other structures if they spawn near a house/building?  


I used a similar concept in my DnD game I DM and gave Iron Golems the ability to move toward and crush my players unless they looked at them directly (save vs will or fort which ever was better to not "blink").


Here is a pic of the new mobs. This pic has been brightened up, the new mobs when spawning at night are almost invisible... Very cool, and very creepy!

Oregon Trail, wait no its the ORGAN TRAIL!

As the United States is turned upside-down by a strange plague-like event in which millions of corpses arise from the dead, and start eating people, you have to escape from the DC area make your way to Oregon!  The only problem is you have to do so via the ancient and deadly OREGON TRAIL wait that's THE ORGAN TRAIL!

This is a great game!  Played in your browser and takes you back to when you wish you died only of dysentery!  Its hours of fun!  Can you SURVIVE!

The Clown (Le Queloune) by Patrick Boivin

This is what really happens when you mix Mentos and Diet Coke!  The dead are brought back to LIFE! How's that for a new Mentos commercial!  The video is 11min but its a great little vignette about zombie clowns. Contrary to the flick Zombieland not all Zombie Clowns are evil, hmm, ok they're evil, just not PURE Evil, more misunderstood. ;)
