DayZ Screen Caps Are Goregeous! Alpha To Be Released In December! WOOT!

Over on the DayZ Dev Tumblr Account they posted up some awesome looking screen caps of the good ole "log cabin house", and some of the other structures from the stand alone of the DayZ Game.  One is the good ole log cabin, the other is the two room house with the hall down the middle.  Check'em all out below:

WarZ TOS Is just A Copy And Paste From League of Legends TOS!

So the folks over on this subreddit found out that the TOS is a copy/paste from the league of legends TOS.  Hehe.  Where is picard with his trademark face palm now?!  Oh right here! ;)

Video : MisAdventures In DayZ - Hanger18

So here we are at a defensible position inside a air plane hanger. We all have decent weapons, which shows that you CAN succeed in DayZ, WITHOUT cheating or hacking!  It was a pretty fun session, we had four people in the game and in the same location, and we actually worked kind of like a team.  Check out the video below, many kills were made and we were finally on the winning end! YAY!

Video : MisAdventures In DayZ - Firefight Of The Stooges!

This is a short set of clips from a couple of gaming sessions with my buddies where we're getting our asses handed to us, mostly, mostly...  The third snippet of video is interesting in that we were hold up in a general store, its night out, so everything is pitch black where you almost can't see anything.

About 20 min earlier, and which I didn't get on video, I was at the back of the store and found a revolver, which I already had.  So I called out to my one friend to come and pick it up.  He thought I was out side of the store and ran out of the front door and into two dudes with long rifles that were heading into the store.  Needless to say a "pop, pop" later and he was dead.  My other friend and I logged out ASAP.  

30 min later we decided to log back in, we didn't go to another server to move around and then log back into the original server or anything like that, we were just going to log back in on the same server and figured the two dudes were gone by now.  Granted, we're always at the shopping center for about an hour ourselves, but hey, it was night out maybe we can get the drop on the guys if they are still there...

This is where the 3rd snippet starts.  So I made it in, no one around. Cool.  I then move to behind the counter and glanced in the back room, empty. Sweet!  My one friend decided that he'll come back on too, and at this moment I see some crawler zombie make its way in, I start to switch to my axe, unfortunately it wasn't a crawler zombie and was indeed one of the guys from the previous encounter! He then peeks around the shelves and starts flinging bullets at me, all the while my friend is trying to login, who's in front of me, and is subject to latency gawds to see if he's going to make it in or not.   Seconds later we're both dead and he never made it past the loading screen!

So the take away here is that when logging out as soon as you hit abort you're out of the game, when logging in you're vunerable for 5-10 seconds before you're in the game, so beware! ;)

Video : DayZ Double Whammy!

So recently I got together with a bunch of friends on a few DayZ servers and we had a devilishly good time playing the game again.  We're trying to get a group of at least 6 people on all at the same time and then meet up all in once spot in DayZ.  Those that play the game know that might be a task unobtainable as people get sidetracked where they spawn and then there are those pesky zombies and other players that get in your way.

In the first video we establish ourselves in the city Electro, after a few failed attempts to meet up in game.  Once we found the hospital, general store and a nice little apt with no running water, we then proceeded to take pot shots at passer by's who investigate one of the bodies in the street.  The bodies that just so happen to be one of our players who can't seem to stay on the top of the building without falling off and killing himself.

The second video is the attempt to meet up with a new player Wizzle, and then much server madness as people logout as soon as they are shot, flashes of other people maybe trying to login, and zombie pushing players through walls who then fall to their deaths, (well sort of).

Video : DayZ - The world on Fire! Fun with Chemlights and Flares!

Here is a screen cap of a shot of myself and friends all running around with blue chemlights and flashlights, because we ran out of flares.  

The idea worked pretty well, so far in that we were on a low pop server. If we were to try this on a high pop server then i'm sure we'd be sitting ducks for any bandit or newb with a rifle, as you can see the glow from pretty far off.  We had two people with flashlights shining around looking for zombies if we were in an area that would have them and one guy who was the executioner.  Occasionally two of use would have to use axes but we got pretty good at the system we came up with.   Same idea goes for use of the flares except that the flare will illuminate a very large area so flashlights aren't really needed. 

You can video below our fun with flares, chemlights, and looting various buildings in town.  Speaking of town, I don't know why but the town I started up in last night was on fire, as well as the surrounding area!  Certainly made for easy navigation in an otherwise pitch black night!
