What! What! What! Tis a great Thursday this is! Looks like "someone" again leaked the next update for Minecraft and a 1.10 update! WOOT! Updated features after the jump!
Over on the youtube channel Cr4zyB4st4rd internet l33t squad Azurescorch, Bi()ha2ard and Cr4zy decided to add the famous/infamous Nyan Cat to the game of Unreal Tournament 3 as a modded Redeemer Mutator. Watch the video below for all the Nyan Cat Redeemer Destruction! This has got to be one of the best mods for UT3!
Imagine the devestation against your enemies when you unleash the Nyan Cat upon them, and think of the horror as you see one of these babies making its way toward you! There is NO ESCAPE!

Over at the Yogscast our favorite masters of hijinks and gaming, Simon and Lewis, are exploring all the new features of the new Minecraft 1.8 Pre-Release that was leaked yesterday evening. They've put up FIVE SIX videos showing off some of the new features, creatures, and items of what is going to be the latest update for the minecraft universe. As always they're very funny and entertaining videos and their reactions are priceless! I've compiled the five videos below after the jump, and here is the post for the links again if you need them.
Also, using ovens/furnaces will crash your server so beware!
I've been running around with some friends too on our own server and the game certainly does have a "new" feel to it. I'm sure once they get more of the 1.8 features polished and do an official release I'm sure it'll be a great time! One thing that is a somewhat of a disappoint is the Enderman creature. They're not rare by any means. Also I hope they're a bit bugged because they seemed to be very docile for the most part. Even if they are provoked they aren't that difficult to kill. Apparently the ender pearl they drop as loot when they die is supposed to cut the distance they're hostile to you by half, but we've been right up in their face, dragging our cross-hair right over tall faces and nothing. I was hoping for a scarier creature, a lot tougher than a creaper and just as deadly and something you did't want to come across without backup, and we're pretty rare. Right now they show up often enough to be a curiosity, but once you've seen and killed one a skeleton is still far more dangerous.
While Notch isn't directly admitting to anything, crafthub is reporting that on 4chan someone leaked the minecraft 1.8 adventure update by of course anonymous. Then over on twitter Notch had this to say:
I'm sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the release of Minecraft 1.8, The Adventure Update. Will Notch release it at midnight? Wait is it midnight where Notch is right now? Ug, the wait is almost unbearable! So I usually head over to notch.tumblr.com when I'm jones'n for some minecraft info, and was surprised to find some interesting new tidbits about what Notch is planning for Minecraft's future as well as one admission:
"and chickens (or whatever the heck they are)" -Notch
Hehe, Even Notch is unsure of what chickens are. They may sounds like a chicken, but they look like ducks, that has been the fact since the beginning and some texture packs have even skinned them as mallards. I think it was a cute little revelation.
There were some other interesting bits he included about the future of Minecraft, e.g., having animals flee away from you when taking damage rather than just standing there and waiting for their gruesome end. This new "tweak" created a situation of when a wolf is chasing hunting a sheep the sheep fleeing from the wolf and behold an actual chase took place! Notch thought this was wonderful the interactions between the mobs, as do I, and hope to investigate more types of interactions. I think it's a great idea!

UPDATE: Looks like there's been some delay with Minecraft 1.8, Jeb mentioned over on reddit that the best guess is a Sept 12th release! Oh smackers! I guess its back to Dead Island for me.
